Cedric Richmond: Biden ‘Has To Continue To Articulate That He’s the Best Person’ To Beat Trump

‘I think that people will start to see it’

EXCERPT:

RICHMOND: "Well, one, I think he has to continue to articulate that he's the best person to beat Donald Trump, but to focus on his years in the Obama/Biden White House. If someone brings up busing, bring up the grant program that you passed along with President Obama to integrate schools right now that Donald Trump got elected, rescinded, and none of the senators in the Senate were able to do anything about it. So part of this is protecting all the work he did during the Obama/Biden years and he has to articulate it. I wouldn’t re-litigate anything 30 or 40 years ago, because no matter what they mention, there's something that they did during the eight years in the White House to improve this country on whatever issue they bring up. So they did a lot of work on integrating schools while they were in the White House, and people are talking about 40 years ago. And I think what he needs to do is, is, 'Remind what I did while in the White House, and that's what I'll continue to do, move forward on the Obama legacy, protect the Affordable Care Act which all the other candidates want to repeal,' and I think that people will start to see it."
