EXCERPT:

WILSON: “Look, again, I think that there is an inevitable impeachment coming. I think that there's every predicate here needs to be built up beforehand. You need to put a lot of friction into the Trump system. You need to start reducing the ability of these people to play the games that Bill Barr and others are playing, Steve Mnuchin and Bill Barr are playing. You need to start holding them to account while you're building up this overall picture, because corruption is the killer app. In 1974, Republicans lost 49 House seats and eight Senate seats because the perception was that they backed a corrupt president. In 1994, the Democrats got blown out in the House because the perception was that Jim Wright was running a corrupt House bank and House post office, and Democrats were engaged — they had been there for 52 years, they were engaged in basically corrupt enterprise. Corruption is the killer app, you've got to paint a whole mosaic of this and not make it just a one shot and you're done thing. I think Donald Trump is inevitably going to go down in history as a corrupt and corrupting influence in American politics, but you got to build up this case adequately before you get there.”
