John Delaney Slams ‘Unpatriotic’ Trump: ‘He’s Upset Nancy Pelosi Is Doing Her Job’

DELANEY: "Well, I mean, we do have to bring truth back to politics, Stephanie. And I think what I said was pretty obvious. The 2018 midterm election was about putting a check on this president. That’s what the American people want. And Nancy Pelosi is doing that. She’s doing her job. He walked away from the negotiation table over infrastructure, which is something that has broad bipartisan support. And the reason he did that is for his own self-interests. And that’s fundamentally unpatriotic. You’re supposed to put the common good of the citizens ahead of your own self-interest. He’s upset that Nancy Pelosi is doing her job. She’s doing it really well. She’s investigating the administration, which was on the ballot in 2018, and it won. She’s doing that. She also went over there to try to cut an infrastructure deal, which would help the American people and is bipartisan, and the president basically walked out and didn’t do what was in the best interests of the citizens of the United States of America."
