Fox News’ Brit Hume: Buttigieg May Be ‘Most Impressive Candidate I’ve Seen’ Since Obama

‘He is articulate; he is even humorous’

EXCERPT:

HUME: "I think Pete Buttigieg is the most impressive by far candidate in terms of just raw political talent in the Democratic field and he may be the most impressive candidate I’ve seen since the emergence of Barack Obama. He is as fluid as he can be, he seems to have something to say about nearly every issue. He seems comfortable on the big stage, articulate, even humorous. He stakes out positions that are, I think, well outside the mainstream on a number of issues, reparations, abortion in particular, where as far as I can tell, from what he said last night, there is no moment before birth when he wouldn’t support a woman’s right to an abortion and that is a position not widely held in this country. Abortion in some instances is accepted but not that position. There are other positions as well. In terms of being comfortable with himself and fast on his feet and I think in the debates it will be interesting to see how he stacks up. It’ll be interesting to see how Joe Biden, much more experienced, older, now leading, compares to him if they are on the same stage together."
