Drug Czar James Carroll: ‘If We Had a Secure Southwest Border, We Would Undoubtedly Save Lives’

‘The president and I are both committed to savings lives’

EXCERPT:

DOOCY: "The president about a month ago gave Mexico OK, I’m going to give you a year. You have got to stop the flow of drugs."
CARROLL: "That’s right. We have to. We have no choice. These drugs are coming in and they're killing 70,000 Americans a year. We have to do something. Business as normal can’t go on."
DOOCY: "Let’s back that up. These drugs are killing 70,000 Americans a year. And if Mexico did more to stop the flow of drugs, what would that do?"
CARROLL: "The president and I are both committed to savings lives. If we had a secure southwest border, we would undoubtedly save lives. There is no question."
