Sen. Kamala Harris: I Will ‘Repeal’ Trump Tax Cuts ‘on Day One’ in Office

HARRIS: "So, I will — so, the question is whether we can remain optimistic when we also know that this is going to be a dirty, nasty fight. And here's how I feel about it. I think it is critically important that our nominee know how to fight, and I do. I took on the biggest banks of our country in the foreclosure crisis with your former attorney general Catherine Masto, when we fought a fight that no one thought we could win, which we did. And I can go on and on about the track record that gives me confidence to know I know how to fight. So we need to have a fighter, but I also do believe that this has to be in our spirit and in our hearts and in our fists. A fight that is born out of optimism. Because this election, guys, as far as I'm concerned, is bigger than the guy who's currently in the White House. So there's no question that we don't agree with his policies, I am fully prepared to prosecute the case against his Administration and their policies. And you know, I am a career prosecutor, I know how to do that. And there is plenty of evidence in this case in terms of the policies that have not worked and have not actually been what they said they would be, such as that tax bill that was designed to help the top one percent and the biggest corporations in this country, which I intend to repeal on day one."
