Sesame Street Spoofs the Oscar Nominated ‘Birdman’ with ‘Big Birdman’

We knew someone was going to put Big Bird and the award-winning film Birdman into a comedic mashup, but thankfully, days before the Academy Awards, Sesame Street filmed one before SNL did.

Either that, or it’s a short film about how Caroll Spinney, the man who’s played Big Bird since 1969, is haunted by a large yellow bird who represents his id and just wants to know why everything smells like birdseed, asking existential questions such as: “How many different ways can you learn the alphabet?”
