Eric Swalwell: ‘I’m Getting Very Close’ to Making 2020 Announcement

‘I’m very connected to everyday Americans’

EXCERPT:

SWALWELL: "I’m getting pretty close to making an announcement. I grew up in the western part of Iowa. My parents followed that promise of America, which is you work hard, you do better, dream bigger. I see it in Iowa today, across America today, that’s not true for a lot of people. I’m very connected to everyday Americans, I've got student loan debt, two kids under two, we're in the grit and the struggle, and I want to make sure that my experience and my vision of going big, being bold, and doing good reaches everyone to solve these problems of health care, that's why I'm considering it. My wife just came off of maternity leave, we've got two kids that we’re trying to sort out child care, but we’re motivated more than ever, when you come to a place like this, to make an announcement soon."
