DNC Comms. Director: There Is the Threat of Another Shutdown If He Continues to Push the Wall

‘That’s not what the American people want’

EXCERPT:

HEMEMER: "I'm making the case that it’s there for the taking. Why not just go ahead and do it?"
HINOJOSA: "Well, what I’m saying is that there is the threat of another shutdown if he continues to push the wall. Democrats are serious about border security, and we are serious in the sense that, you know, we understand that there should be investments in technology, that there should be investments in immigration judges. These are the things that we believe that you can invest in and have meaningful border security --"
HEMMER: "Some of that's on the table." [crosstalk]
HINOJOSA: "-- but a wall is not one of them."
