SPEIER: "So, she is right in that. The continuity of leadership is a key concern for those who have that role within homeland security. You’ll have everyone in this country in a leadership role in one room. And typically, it takes hundreds of hours to prepare for the State of the Union. I think strongly that we shouldn’t have a State of the Union when the Government is shut down. And until the President recognizes his role in having created this artificial shutdown and reopens the Government, I’m not interested in hearing from him at the State of the Union. We know what the state of the union is right now. It is in deep trouble."
