Jon Stewart Slams Christie for Soft Stance of Gov’t’s Role in Vaccines

‘It’s nice unlike pigs in gestational crates in New Jersey, the governor has room to turn his stance around to change things’

STEWART: "Maybe to head this thing off, we need a popular figure from the right who agrees with the president."
CHRISTIE [video]: "I don't believe that when you're dealing with something as serious as this, you can count on a voluntary system. This the government's job, if anything else, the government's job is to protect the safety and health of our citizens."
STEWART: "Yes, by blocking every lane of possible virus transmission! Everyone! There will be no transmission traffic from here to, let's say, Fort Lee! But, thank you, a conservative, respected, prioritizing public health over these -- say that again? Really? That was from October when Christie put an Ebola nurse who was not sick and made her (bleep) in a bucket in a tent in Newark? Oh, here's what Christie actually said about kids' measles vaccinations."
CHRISTIE [video]: "We vaccinated ours. What's more important is what you think as a parent than what you think as a public official and that's what we do. But I also understand parents have a measure of choices as well. That's the balance the government has to decide."
