Jim Clyburn: ‘Mr. King Has a Long Record’ of White Supremacy

‘Not only did we disapprove of what he said, we condemned white supremacy and white nationalism’

RUSH EXCERPT:

CLYBURN: “If it were up to me, it’s something I would have done a long time ago. Mr. King has a long record going all the way back to his days in the state legislature of saying these things of things and meeting with these groups not just in this country, but overseas as well. We know that. I think this went on too long and is now time for the house to express themselves collectively. The reason the disapproval is because I wanted everybody here to express themselves on whether or not they approve or disapprove of what Mr. King was saying. We have a solid vote, all but one, saying we disapprove. Not only did we disapprove of what he said, we condemned white supremacy and white nationalism.”
