Rep. Wexton: There Are Much Smarter Ways Than Building a Big Giant Concrete Wall

‘Virginia sent me here to do a job, to spend their money wisely’

EXCERPT:

MITCHELL: "And there’s been a lot of argument out of the White House that Democrats should just agree to vote for money for the wall, and that that would resolve this. What say you?"
WEXTON: "Well, $5.7 billion plus is, you know, just a down payment on a wall. And after this, then what is the next extraction going to be? You know, the people of Virginia sent me here to do a job, to -- to spend their money wisely. There is the appropriations bill we passed included well over a billion dollars for border security. And there are much smarter ways than building a big giant concrete wall."
