‘The View’: Trump Runs the Country Like The Apprentice, Mark Burnett Is Almost Responsible He’s Elected President

‘No, his parents are responsible’

EXCERPT:

HOSTIN: “I mean, we’re talking about a cabinet meeting and you have a poster of yourself, like a fictional poster of yourself and it says sanctions are coming. It was so strange to me. But I have to tell you, I read this article over our hiatus. It’s a 'New Yorker' article. I hope everyone reads it, It's called, 'How Mark Burnett Resurrected Donald Trump as an Icon of American Success.' And when I saw that poster, I started thinking about 'The Apprentice,' because didn’t it look like he was sitting at the apprentice table?"
BEHAR: "Yes, he always does that." [crosstalk]
HOSTIN: "So it was like -- it was like he was on reality television. It was fascinating. And this New Yorker article talked about the fact that when he was on 'The Apprentice,' he didn’t prepare at all, and he didn’t watch any of the show, he didn’t watch any of the competition."
BEHAR: "Like the way he runs the country."
HOSTIN: "Like the way the runs the country. Yes, exactly. So when he was on 'The Apprentice,' he would get there in the board room and he would just look at the people and then say you’re fired. But he would just fire anybody. And then they would have to back edit the show and then just point, like figure out one or two things the person did wrong to justify the firing."
BEHAR: "Really?"
HOSTIN: "Yes."
BEHAR: "That’s what you call ass backwards."
HOSTIN: "So it was all fake. Yes. It was all -- it was all fake. And Mark Burnett is almost responsible for the fact that we have the president."
GOLDBERG: "No, his parents are responsible."
