Dan Crenshaw: A Border Wall Is Crucial to U.S. Security, Dems Want to Destroy Trump’s Campaign Promise

‘He made a campaign promise, and they want to score points against him by destroying that campaign promise’

EXCERPT:

EARHARDT: "The President tweeted out, 'Let’s make a deal.' He invited both sides to come into the White House. He wants to negotiate. Do you think Democrats will budge at all? What do you anticipate the future will look like?"
CRENSHAW: "It is hard to say at this point, honestly. Again, I don’t know what their reasoning is. I hope they do. We showed some willingness to negotiate on this, but again, we always have to question, what is the underlying reason here? I think what they really want to do is score points against the President. He made a campaign promise and they want to score points against him by destroying that campaign promise, but it's at the expense of our security. We saw this migrant caravan coming in last night. You know what stopped them? A wall. And that wasn't even a very good wall. So what we're asking for is better border security and actual physical barrier. Because once somebody crosses that border, and this is about 400,000 people a year being apprehended, 400,000, that is not a low number, so that many people is inundating our education system, our health care system, our law enforcement, our courts. Our border patrol can't handle that many people. You need some kind of physical barrier in certain areas."
