Lindsey Graham: Bolton, Mattis and Pompeo All Have Different Positions than Trump on Syria

‘Secretary Mattis is firmly in the camp of the job in Syria is not yet done, that abandoning the Kurds now will hurt us down the road, that ISIS could and probably will come back’

EXCERPT:

GRAHAM: "Well, it’s safe to say that I don’t think anybody — I talked to Pompeo yesterday. You know, Mr. Jeffrey is the special envoy to Syria who was a great pick, the former ambassador to Iraq, just 48 hours ago, 72 hours ago, announced that we’re not going to leave. You had Brett McGurk, the guy -- you know the guy in charge of Syria and Iraq said that even though the space has been taken back, the land has been taken back, ISIS is not yet defeated. There are 20,000 to 30,000 fighters. They have been hurt mightily because of President Trump’s change in strategy, but they’re not defeated. So Secretary Mattis is firmly in -- in the camp of the job in Syria is not yet done, that abandoning the Kurds now will hurt us down the road, that ISIS could and probably will come back. And I think that’s the universal view of Bolton, Pompeo, and Mattis.”
