Christie tells N.J. residents to prepare for 'significant storm' (NJ.com)

Gov. Chris Christie is urging New Jersey residents to "get off the roads as soon as you can" once snow starts hitting the state today as New Jersey braces for a "significant storm."

The governor, speaking to reporters inside the garage of a state Department of Transportation facility in Newark, announced he's declaring a state of emergency today and warned New Jersey residents to be prepared "for potential power outages." 
"This is going to be a significant storm," Christie said.
