Ben Shapiro on Heisman Winner Backlash over Tweets: We Now Have a Social Justice Warrior Class That Determines Who Wins an Award and Who Doesn’t

‘I don’t know very many people that didn’t change their opinion or say stupid things when they were 14’

RUSH EXCERPT:

SHAPIRO: “The idea they resurfaced, what, magically? Boom! They resurfaced in front of him? Or is it possible this writer decided to resurface the tweet when the kid was 15 years old. The fact that we now have a social justice warrior class that sits atop the nation judiciary and determines who gets to win an award and who doesn’t get to win an award and they dig back to everything he said on social media going back to years earlier to wreck your career or force an apology out of you. This is supposed to make the world better? This is absurd. I don’t know very many people that didn’t change their opinion or say stupid things when they were 14. To so take a kid that won heiseman trophy and search back to when he was 14 and shame hip on it is despicable.”
