Matt Miller: Mueller Is Going to Throw the Book at Manafort, ‘That’s the Safest Bet in the World’

‘Given the fact that Manafort took the somewhat egregious step to lie to the special prosecutor after he signed a cooperation agreement, you can look for them to recommend a jail sentence that puts him in prison likely for the rest of his life’

EXCERPT:

MILLER: "I think that’s the safest bet in the world. If you look at the way the Special Counsel's Office has handled Manafort every step of the way when it comes to what charges to bring against him, bail conditions, confinement, they have always chosen the most aggressive path possible. I think, given the fact that Manafort took the somewhat egregious step to lie to the Special Prosecutor after he had signed the cooperators' agreement, I think you can look for them to recommends a jail sentence that puts him in prison likely for the rest of his life."
