Lt. Col. Bill Cowan: White House Is Hiding Results of Bowe Bergdahl Investigation

‘All of us who served in the military would agree this guy needs to be charged and he needs to spend some hard time somewhere reflecting on what he did’

“I think that’s such a disgrace. It would be a disservice to men and women. We have tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands of men and women who served with honor and distinction — Susan Rice’s own words — in Iraq and Afghanistan. And Bowe Bergdahl walked off. He said he was a shame to be an American. He walked out, he got caught up by some people who turned him over to the Haqqani network.

There is allegations out there that he may have helped them a little bit, may have conspired with them, may have taught them some of our techniques, tactics and procedures. So there’s real questions also about whether he was really somebody who went to the other side for awhile even though there are indications he may have tried to come back. It is a very complex case if you look at all pieces of information out there.

But at the end of the day, I think all of us who served in the military would agree: this guy needs to be charged and he needs to spend some hard time somewhere reflecting on what he did and why he did it.”
