Andy Biggs: Comey Knows the Transcript of a Private Deposition Will Be Made Public and He Doesn’t Want That

‘Mr. Comey is an experienced hand’

EXCERPT:

BIGGS: "Mr. Comey is an experienced hand. He understands that when the Congress does it, we’ve seen them down in Committee, everybody gets five minutes a whack. Just about the time you think you’re getting to some meat, goes over to the other side. Not only that, what I have found is there’s pontification that goes on. Last time I interviewed Peter Strzok, for instance, the Democrats were hollering and screaming and yelling and Mr. Comey knows that. He knows the worst place to find the truth is in a Committee hearing where each person gets five minutes and you got 70 people asking questions, whatever the number is. And we never get to the bottom of it. So he wants to control this. He’s a control freak and here’s where he’s going. I think we need to do it in a deposition, closed door. And guess what? the transcript will be made public. That will be made public later. That’s what he doesn’t want to happen."
