Gen. Wesley Clark: Trump’s Losing Military Support Because People Are Looking at Him Saying He Doesn’t Represent Their Values

‘The United States military, the people in it, they’re loyal to the Constitution’

EXCERPT:

JACKSON: “You write about this distinction between the president believing that he respects and honors the military, and the difference between that and actually representing the military well. Explain that."
CLARK: "Well I think he does believe that he’s honoring the military. He went to a military academy, he's got a snappy salute, he likes the parade, he likes to be surrounded by the military. I mean, it’s good for him as commander-in-chief, his image, what he's projecting at home to do that. And he's got a lot of veterans and -- and people in the service who probably supported him if and when they voted. However, the truth is he’s losing some of that support, because people are looking at him and saying, he doesn’t represent our values.”
