MSNBC’s Wallace: Beto and Gillum ‘Out-Trumped Trump at Trumpism’

WALLACE: "Part of it, and I said this yesterday, and I meant it as a compliment, they’ve out-Trumped Trump at Trump-ism. They went straight to that third rail and played on that dangerous terrain. Beto, by taking on the anthem issue in deep red Texas and saying, you know, here’s why it’s a free speech issue and not an anti-patriotism issue. And I think he turned that around. And Gillum, by taking the race question and, it’s still one of the best political lines uttered this cycle. I’m not saying you’re a racist. The racists think you’re a racist."
