Steve Kornacki: Some Sense the GOP Would Be Very Happy to Have Steve King Lose and Not Have to Deal with Him Anymore

GEIST: “Steve Kornacki, how much trouble is Steve King in here in this district that Trump again won by almost 30 points?"
KORNACKI: "Right. It is tough to say that that's a Democratic poll. There is an online component with that. So take that one with a grain of salt. There was a more reputable one a couple of weeks ago, before all of this started to come ahead that had him up by about ten points there. This is sort of the Iowa is split to four congressional districts, each a quadrant of the state. This is sort of northwest part of Iowa. This is somebody who is very entrenched there. That move, though, from the NRCC, fro national Republicans to distance themselves, I do think that is going to get a lot of attention and a lot of focus on this race. Republicans can’t afford a net loss of more of 23 seats. There’s some sense, they would be happy to be rid of Steve King and not have to deal with this any more."
