CNN Host Says ‘No One’s Blaming the President’ for Pipe Bombs Before Panelist Blames Trump

‘What people are asking him to do is to step back from himself and to set a tone’

RUSH EXCERPT:

PHILLIP: “For this president, everything comes back to him and how he thinks he is being perceive and attacked or if he feels like he is under siege. As always with him, the media is the culprit. The media is responsible for him being treated poorly in the public sphere. This is no different. I think what Jeff reported there a few minutes ago is the same way he reacted to a lot of these kinds of crisis in his presidency. He was back to charlottesville, his response was that you are trying to blame me for this and I’m not responsible. What people are asking him to do is to step back from himself and to set a tone. Sometimes by setting a tone, you have to be self-reflective to do that. This president has never been willing to be self-reflective and reluctant to set a tone when the country needs him to and when he feels under siege, he lashes out. His aides are transparent about they say he has a right to fire back when he feels like he is being attacked. Even if it undermines himself.”
