The View’s Sunny Hostin Calls for Sesame Street to Create a Gay Muppet

HUNTSMAN: “One of my favorite Sesame stories is Big Bird in China. It’s about teaching kids lessons and so this is a way there are how many kids that have two dads."

HUNTSMAN: "This is a way that they can -- they can teach them about that.“
HOSTIN: “Sesame Street I agree with you Whoopi, has not shied away from those issues. 'Elmo’s World' introduced a character that had two moms and also two dads. They have the autistic puppet. They have the HIV positive puppet."
GOLDBERG: "Yes."
HOSTIN: "So I can see your point in that when they really want to come out and have a gay muppet which I think they should at this point because kids identify their gender identity at least by 2, and by 4 or 5 start understanding their sexuality, so maybe that’s a place where 'Sesame Street' should go.”
