GALLAGHER: "Before we get to the new text messages obtained by Fox News, it is imperative to remember the context that has bubbled up in the past 48 hours. Congressman mark meadows the top Republican on the house oversight committee sent a letter to Debbie Terry attorney general Rod Rosenstein revealing texts that show Peter Strzok and Lisa Page talking about their media leak strategy, it was sent April 10th of last year. On April 11th “Washington Post” citing law enforcement officials broke a story that the FBI had obtained a FISA warrant to eavesdrop on former trump campaign advisor Carter Page. The day after the post article, Strzok sent Lisa Page another text congratulating her saying well done, Paige. They were actually an effort to stop media leaks yet today Fox has obtained more texts dating back to December of 2016 that appeared to show leaks concerning the Russia probe were coming from other agencies. Strzok writes I think our sisters have begun leaking like mad, scorned and worried and they’re kicking into overdrive. We don’t have confirmation on what the term sisters exactly means but we believe it’s common FBI slang for the CIA. It’s also unclear exactly what information may have been leaked but the sisters leaking like mad came on the same day that several news organizations reported that U.S. Intel was convinced that Vladimir Putin was personally involved in meddling in the 2016 election. Rudy Giuliani responded to the possible leaks on the fox business network."
