Michael Moore: Trump Will Be ‘the Last President of the United States’

Filmmaker Michael Moore's latest docu-drama, "Fahrenheit 11/9," begins with the provocative claim that President Trump will be "the last president of the United States."

Moore believes that Trump so reviles the Constitution and "the rule of law" that he will ignore future elections and keep himself in power indefinitely. 

MSNBC's Chris Hayes invited Moore onto his show Wednesday to discuss the film, and speak with residents of Flint, Mich., which plays another large role in "Fahrenheit 11/9."

"You think that," Hayes asked, after showing a preview from the film, "the last president of the United States?"

"It's possible, absolutely," Moore responded. "I think that we have someone in the White House who has no respect for the rule of law, who dislikes democracy by an incredible degree, which doesn't make him really any that much different from other billionaires or CEOs because their businesses are not democracies. They rule by fiat. They decide, they make the calls and they don't like anybody else having a say."

"They also like to take home the bulk of the money, with them," he continued. "So this is putting somebody like that in charge of a democracy is a very dangerous thing, and especially, it's more dangerous with him because he has a complete lack of ideology. He doesn't -- "

Hayes interjected, "You think it’s more dangerous because he doesn’t believe in anything?"

"Absolutely," Moore replied, before going on to say that "at least Pence believes in something."

"I’m not afraid of having a debate with Pence whether or not Adam and eve rode on dinosaurs 6,000 years ago," Moore said.

When Chris Hayes told the audience "I don't think Pence believes that," Moore claimed he does believe the Earth is just 6,000 years old.

There is no record of Pence believing this.
