Juan Williams: Kavanaugh ‘Looks Like He’s on His Way To Being Confirmed as the Next Supreme Court Justice’

WILLIAMS: "No. So if we’re — if you want the bottom line, the final score, Chris, I think he looks like he’s on his way to being confirmed as the next Supreme Court justice and giving conservatives a solid 5-4 majority on that court for as long as we can see. The man’s in his early 50s. But in answer to your question to whether or not damage was done, the critical issue for me is the impartiality of the court, trust in the court by the American people. We see that going down. This is not a popular candidate, by the way. So what you have — and not popular among Democrats or Republicans, I might add. And what you saw the Democrats do was say, you know this guy was a political operative. He worked for Ken Starr. Remember, he was involved in the Florida recount in 2000. He was involved with torture memos in the Bush White House. This is a guy that’s been on the court, but he’s a political player. And I think that hurts his credibility going forward and hurts the credibility of our Supreme Court."
