Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and Donald Trump biographer David Cay Johnston says the Republican Party is dying a slow death through their total obedience to the president and apparent disregard for his lack of morality.

Johnston spoke to SiriusXM Radio host Dean Obeidallah about what he learned of Trump after covering him for more than 20 years. During this interview, he painted a very bleak picture by saying “Donald Trump is a man utterly without conscience or regard for other people.”

JOHNSTON: "Donald Trump is a man utterly without conscience or regard for other people. I mean, it is as if, when you and I step on ant on the sidewalk walking down the street, we don't give it any thought. Sorry for the ant, you're in the wrong place, is not even a thought we stop and worry about. Donald Trump steps on people and it doesn't impinge on him in any way. This is a man who— who publicly humiliated the mother of his three oldest children if they didn't speak to him for years, in fact they didn't speak to him until they grew up, looked around at the job market and realized that no one would pay them the way daddy would and then he got their loyalty back."
