EXCERPT:

CICILLINE: "No, these are very serious developments. They should concern everyone. It’s a sad day when an individual in federal court and admits under oath the President of the United States directed him to commit a crime. These are obviously very serious developments. I think the impeachment talk is being generated by the Republicans. It’s an election year, kind of scare tactic. They don’t have anything to run on. Passed a tax bill where the 83 percent of the benefits went to top 1 percent. Trying to repeal the Affordable Care Act. In court trying to take away coverage for preexisting conditions. Democrats are talking about their commitment to fight for the people of this country. Drive down health care cost. Promote good economic growth. Rebuild the infrastructure of our country, to create 60 million good paying jobs and drain the swamp in Washington to attack the corruption and the Administration by the Republicans in Congress and get Government working for them again. That’s what Democrats are talking about. That’s the agenda that addresses the urgent issues facing the American people. And Republicans and the President want to make it about impeachment as a way to scare their base into voting."
