Kelly Jane Torrance: Last Night Proved ‘Progressivism Just Doesn’t Sell

‘He had come close to winning to replace Mike Pompeo and he’s not your typical Progressive candidate’

EXCERPT:

TORRANCE: "So she endorsed six candidates and only two won. The four that didn't win only picked up a third of the vote at the most, and the two that did win, you had James Thompson in Kansas. He had come close to winning to replace Mike Pompeo and he’s not your typical Progressive candidate. His opponent in the Primary was for a ban on assault weapons and he was not. He’s not quite the typical candidate and the one that did win the other Tlaib is very much on the model and also a member of the Democratic Socialists of America but she’s in Detroit and that stuff plays better in Detroit. Last night proved especially in the swing districts that are going to matter in the midterms and often decide presidential elections, progressivism just doesn’t sell."
