Fox’s Jeanine Pirro Agrees: Minorities Need to Be More ‘Sensitive’ to Cops (Mediaite)

Over the weekend, Fox News’ Jeanine Pirro polled her viewers with this question: “Do police need to be retrained on how to be sensitive to the ‘minority community’?” (scare-quotes added). The “instapoll” results unsurprisingly came down on the side of law enforcement.

The host read comments from those who took the poll, such as a man named Jeff, who asked, “Why is it always necessary to tip toe around the minority community?” Larry added, “No. Enough is enough. The general public needs to be more sensitive to the police and show them the respect they deserve.”

“I agree,” Pirro added, practically under her breath.

To one viewer who dared to say, “Yes, those cops were racial profiling,” Pirro shot back, “Hey Jordan, you don’t even know what racial profiling is.”

She explained, “That’s when race is used to engage law enforcement in the minority community. But offender profiling is when an offender is ID’ed by a description including his race, which is the only way to investigate some of these cases.”

To another woman who said Eric Garner would not have been treated the same way had he been white, Pirro replied, “You’re wrong!” Her proof? “Did you notice the African-American cop standing around?”

With that, she ended her show. So, case closed?
