Daniel Hoffman: At the End of the Day Our Military Can Handle the Iranians But They’re Nervous

‘I think they feel like they need to have some strong words against us’

EXCERPT:

HOFFMAN: "So, our military is greatly superior. What the Iranians mean, the Iranians will fight with us with what we call asymmetric warfare. That’s cyber attacks, they have done that on our banks. They attack routinely our defense firms to steal missile and other technology for their space program. They also mount attacks using their proxy militants in places like Lebanon and Iraq. So they would take those actions against us. They also launched an attack in Paris when the mayor, Mayor Giuliani was making a speech at the MeK rally. That was to demonstrate to us that they can launch those sorts of attacks and hurt our people that way, too, our officials. They have done this routinely throughout their history. At the end of the day, our military can handle the Iranians, but they are so nervous right now about having, for example, Ambassador Bolton, who has been a proponent of regime change, in the government. I think they feel like they need to have some strong words against us."
