On Thursday evening, CNN broke an exclusive report that Michael Cohen claimed President Donald Trump personally approved a June 2016 Trump Tower meeting with Russians who were said to have had damning information on his then-challenger, Hillary Clinton. That is significant in part because Trump has contended he knew nothing about the meeting before it took place.
