ROVE: "I think the problem is not that this wasn’t right. The Democrats thought they had a great idea, get rid of ICE and then they figured out that that was a bad idea. Look, the idea that this needed to go through a committee process, the governor of Texas is somehow the same as three members of the democratic leadership coauthored this legislation, or 2020 democratic presidential candidates. It’s ridiculous. The Democrats got caught offering a stupid idea for a bad reason. Remember, they did this because of the administration’s policy of separating minors from adults. But ICE has nothing whatsoever to do with that."
