WSJ’s Mary Kissel: Summit with Trump a ‘Great Propaganda Victory’ for Putin

‘Nothing was really achieved here beyond promising to reach again’

WSJ Editorial Board Member on Fox News: Summit With Trump a ‘Great Propaganda Victory’ For Putin (Mediaite)

Wall Street Journal editorial board member Mary Kissel declared the summit between President Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin a “propaganda victory” for the Russian president on Fox News.

Appearing on Fox News Monday immediately after the press conference held with the two leaders, Kissel called the performance “classic performance by Putin,” as the president juggled flattery of Trump with manipulating “the world’s attention from what he himself has done.”

“Look, it could have been worse,” Kissel said, noting Trump didn’t give ground on Russia’s annexation of Crimea.
