STELTER: "I think yesterday we saw one of the president’s conspiracy theories debunked about this Democratic IT staffer. That was an idea propped up by some Fox host and ‘The Daily Caller.’ That was debunked by the Trump Justice Department. So what did the president do? He moved on to other theories instead. I think it’s comforting to think that he just doesn’t have the right information, it’s comforting to say, oh, he just didn’t know the truth, because the alternative is worse. [crosstalk] The alternative is worse. It’s you know, oh well, the president just didn’t know the answer.”
