In Wake of Terror Attack, White House Calls on Israel, Palestinians to ‘Reject Violence’

‘It is all the more important for Israeli and Palestinian leaders and ordinary citizens to work cooperatively together to lower tensions, to reject violence, and to seek a path forward toward peace’

"We are deeply concerned about the -- specifically about this terrorist act. We're talking about, you know, attackers senselessly and brutally killing innocent worshipers at a synagogue ... The fact is, there can be no justification for an attack like this against innocent civilians. And the thoughts and prayers of the American people are with the victims and families of those who were killed and injured in this horrific attack and in other recent violence. At this sensitive moment in Jerusalem, it is all the more important for Israeli and Palestinian leaders and ordinary citizens to work cooperatively together to lower tensions, reject violence and seek a path forward toward peace."
