GOP Sen. Bob Corker Rips His Own Party for ‘Cult-Like’ Approach to Trump (Mediaite)

Yesterday, Senator Bob Corker (R-TN) blew up at fellow Republicans for not publicly supporting his bill to rein in President Trump‘s powers on trade.

Corker seemed pretty pissed off as he called out his colleagues for being too scared of facing Trump’s wrath, even though most of them agree with him.

Today he’s taken things a step further by talking about the “cultish” approach of the GOP to the President:

“We’re in a strange place. I mean, it’s almost a––you know, it’s becoming a cultish thing, isn’t it? It’s not a good place for any party to end up with a cult-like situation as it relates to a President that happens to be of––purportedly of––the same party.”
