MSNBC’s Chris Jansing Briefly Addresses Joy Reid During Segment on Roseanne, Samantha Bee (Mediaite)

On Friday, MSNBC briefly addressed the controversy surrounding Joy Reid‘s controversial blog posts from thirteen years ago and stressed they are standing with her.

Earlier today, Reid apologized for a post from her blog that showed Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz)’s head photoshopped over the Virginia Tech shooter’s body and noted she sincerely regretted those posts from her past.

“To be clear, I have the highest respect for Sen. McCain as a public servant and patriot and wish him and his family the best,” Reid said in her statement. “I have reached out to Meghan McCain and will continue to do so. She is a former on-air colleague and I feel deeply for her and her family.”

MSNBC’s Chris Jansing briefly addressed it during a segment this afternoon that covered both Roseanne Barr and Samantha Bee.
