VARNEY: "Do you think that President Trump is the man to take on criminal justice reform, is he leading that?"
OWENS: "Yeah, he absolutely is leading that charge especially with Jared Kushner behind him. Jared Kushner is incredibly passionate about prison reform. Because you know, he grew up with a parent in prison, he understands how it affects people’s lives. So I was fortunate enough to meet with the president on Friday and we spoke exclusively about prison reform."
VARNEY: "Now, prison reform, judicial reform is a key to the black vote, it’s what the African-American community is pushing for almost more than anything else, I believe. So does the black community in America understand what the president is doing here."
OWENS: "They absolutely do."
