The View panel discussed the NFL’s decision to require all players on the field to stand for the National Anthem, and everyone but Meghan McCain felt the players ought to be able to kneel on the field if they choose.

“I will say I completely disagree with anyone on this table,” McCain said. “I would never be okay with someone not saluting the flag. Seventy-two percent of Americans, according to Reuters, said that they thought [Colin] Kaepernick‘s behavior was unpatriotic.”

“Ninety-seven percent of African-Americans think it’s very patriotic,” Sunny Hostin interrupted, garnering applause from the audience.
