New Yorker Editor: 2016 Democrat Candidates Make for a ‘Pathetic Scene’

‘When you talk about inevitability ... everything is in flux’

New Yorker Editor: 2016 Dem Candidates ‘a Pathetic Scene’ (Washington Free Beacon)

New Yorker editor-in-chief David Remnick told MSNBC’s Morning Joe that the candidates that have emerged as Democratic front runners for the 2016 presidential election were “a pathetic scene.”

Discussing a recent New Yorker article that names outgoing Governor Martin O’Malley (D., Md.), former Sen. Jim Webb (D., Va.), and Sen. Bernie Sanders (D., Vt.) as potential Democratic candidates, Remnick concluded that Hillary Clinton and her potential challengers were in a sad and difficult position heading into 2016.

“Maybe some of the candidates that are popping up are not the ones that are going to throw her off her horse, but everything is in flux,” Remnick said. “It’s a really pathetic scene.”
