Joy Behar Suggests Trump Administration Doesn’t ‘Really Want’ Middle East Peace (Mediaite)

The View co-host Joy Behar said Tuesday that “maybe” Donald Trump‘s administration doesn’t really want peace in the Middle East, despite the president claiming yesterday that’s his number one goal.

The ladies of The View weighed in Tuesday on the U.S. officially moving the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, thereby officially recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of the Israel. Co-host Whoopi Goldberg said she thinks Israelis and Palestinians “can and should” live together on the same land. Goldberg also stated that the U.S. moving its embassy sent the “wrong message” to Palestinians that America “doesn’t care what they think.”

Sunny Hostin later weighed in on the controversial “hot topic,” saying that “if you want true peace in the Middle East, which is what [White House Senior Adviser] Jared Kushner was supposed to be working towards, you cannot have peace, and a peace process without Palestinian involvement.”
