Jon Stewart Tells CNN He’s Not Voting in Midterms (Mediaite)

Jon Stewart made a rare appearance on CNN Tuesday morning, speaking with Christiane Amanpour about his directorial debut Rosewater as well as the 2014 midterm elections.

The Daily Show host confirmed that he has not voted in the 2014 elections because he is currently in the process of moving between states. (He would not disclose his new state residence.)

Asked by Amanpour how he sees the midterms playing out for his comedic job, Stewart responded with irreverence for typical political proclamations, joking that he believes the Republicans will not only take over the Senate, but also the the Supreme Court, and all of Washington D.C’s restaurants and lobbying organizations.

“The only thing they don’t get, I think, is the presidency,” he jested. “But if it goes the way they want, enough votes, they may get that too. Obama may have to leave as well.”
