President Obama met one-on-one with Federal Reserve Chairman Janet Yellen on Monday for the first time since she took the job eleven months ago.

"This was the first opportunity that the president has had to meet one- on-one with Janet Yellen," White House spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters on Monday. "She did, however, participate in a meeting of financial regulators that the president convened at the White House last month, but in terms of a one-on-one meeting, this was the first opportunity that they've had to do that since she was confirmed into the position as the chair of the Federal Reserve."
