Rep. Bill Cassidy Slams Landrieu For ‘Insulting’ Louisiana Voters with Racist, Sexist Claims

‘If she actually lived here, understood what people in Louisiana thought, she would understand that’

Rep. Bill Cassidy Slams Landrieu For ‘Insulting’ Louisiana Voters (Washington Free Beacon)

Senator Mary Landrieu (D., NH) caused an uproar Thursday night after an interview in which she said one of the reasons Louisiana voters are down on her and President Obama is the racism and sexism of the South.

Her opponent Republican opponent, Rep. Bill Cassidy lambasted Landrieu on the Kelly File: “I wish she’d focus more on policies instead of insulting us.”

Cassidy believes Landrieu’s comments show how out of touch she is with her constituents and that “Senator Landrieu now represents Washington, D.C. that’s probably what the people she goes to at cocktail parties believe.”
