Robert De Niro Talks SNL Role as Mueller: I’d Like to Arrest Trump and ‘Take Him to Jail’ (Mediaite)

Robert De Niro spoke out about his surprise appearance on SNL last weekend as special counsel Robert Mueller — and revealed there’s one scene he would like to see play out.

De Niro played Mueller in SNL’s cold open, alongside fellow Meet the Parents star Ben Stiller, who played Trump-lawyer Michael Cohen.

When asked on the Today show if he will be reprising the role, De Niro replied, “I hope there’s a couple where I interrogate [Trump], I arrest him, and then I take him to jail.”
