Charlie Dent: Yes I’m Disappointed the GOP Hasn’t Stood Up to Trump

HUNT: "Congressman, Kasie Hunt. It's nice to see you. Paul Ryan stepping down, not running for re-election to his seat, you have been a very outspoken critic of this president. Are you at all disappointed that Republican leaders have not been more vocal in standing up to him?"
DENT: "Candidly yes. I believe that we have an obligation as Republicans to stand up for -- for what I think we stood for, for a long time. We’re supposed to be a party about principles and ideals, and I think what’s happened is that the — you know, prior to Donald Trump, I’ve always said that this party used to have litmus test issues and we had the purity police who would judge us and -- and determine whether or not we were doctrine enough. I never liked that because I’m more pragmatic."
